David Donatelli, formerly executive vice president and general manager of the enterprise group at Hewlett-Packard, has joined Oracle as EVP of the company’s converged infrastructure division.
He will report directly to Oracle CEO Mark Hurd and will oversee the firm’s server, tape, networking, storage, engineered systems and hybrid cloud-based hardware platforms, the company said Thursday.
Oracle CEO Mark Hurd said Donatelli will work to help drive business growth and differentiate the company’s hardware infrastructure offerings.
According to Oracle, the technology industry veteran recently led the enterprise hardware division at HP’s enterprise group.
Prior to joining HP, Donatelli worked at EMC Corp. for more than two decades and held various roles in sales, operations, marketing and management areas.
