CA Technologies has rolled out a new tool to help enterprises manage and secure their mobile devices, content and applications.

CA said Sept. 9 that the Enterprise Mobility Management suite will be offered as a software as a service for on-premise or cloud deployment, with provisions for iOS 8 support related to zero-day events.

The company indicated that EMM builds on its Management Cloud for Mobility portfolio and uses smart containerization technology to enable businesses to transition to mobile.

According to Ram Varadarajan, general manager for new business innovation at CA Technologies, the SaaS solution is designed to improve mobile app and services development “to drive productivity and revenue.”

“The application economy has made mobility management a cornerstone of employee and business productivity,” he added.

CA has cited a Gartner review that predicts an SaaS uptake from the current 30 percent of the global EMM market as demand for EMM management solutions increase.
