Sierra Nevada Corp. has secured a potential $134 million contract with a $1.2 million minimum guarantee from the U.S. Special Operations Command to supply and maintain Tactical Radio Application eXtension software in support of the Program Executive Office for Tactical Information Systems Tactical Communications Systems. L3Harris Technologies has received a five-year, $125.1 million contract from the Defense Logistics Agency to supply spares and repair parts for very small aperture terminal transmission systems the company had built. DLA awarded the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract on a sole-source basis. Work is expected to be completed by Sept. 24, 2028, the Department of Defense said Monday.

Joby Aviation has delivered an electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft to the Edwards Air Force Base as part of an Agility Prime contract with the U.S. Air Force. Joby Aviation, the Air Force and NASA will work together to test the eVTOL aircraft in support of the space agency's Advanced Air Mobility campaign. AAM aims to evaluate how to incorporate aircraft like the eVTOL into the national airspace system, NASA said Tuesday.

HII's Newport News Shipbuilding division collaborated with General Dynamics Electric Boat and advanced marine components manufacturer Ammcon to employ 3D printing in the production of parts for nuclear-powered submarines.
