Boeing, US Government Aim to Promote Development & Use of Sustainable Aviation Fuel Among APEC Countries

Boeing is partnering with the Department of Transportation and the Federal Aviation Administration to launch an initiative that aims to foster the development and use of sustainable aviation fuel among members of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation. The aerospace company said Thursday that the initiative seeks to address various challenges APEC countries might face in establishing or growing a market for SAF. These challenges include the production of the fuel itself and the formulation of policies underpinning SAF production and use.

GDIT Books $63M Contract for Alabama Medicaid Program Modernization

A General Dynamics subsidiary will work to modernize the Medicaid program of Alabama under a $63 million contract awarded by the state's Medicaid Agency. General Dynamics Information Technology will use its cloud computing, data management and cybersecurity capabilities to enhance the information technology applications and infrastructure of Alabama Medicaid programs.

Lockheed PAC-3 Missile Integrates With LTAMDS Radar to Take Down Aerial Threat During Recent Test

A flight test of the Patriot Advanced Capability – 3 took place on Nov. 16, demonstrating the missile's ability to defend against an air breathing threat with the help of the Lower Tier Air and Missile Defense Sensor radar. Lockheed Martin said Thursday it conducted the test at the White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico in partnership with the U.S. Army.

Northrop Finishes Critical Design Review of SDA Tranche 1 Tracking Layer Satellites

Northrop Grumman has concluded the design review of 16 satellites intended for an expansive network that will facilitate conventional and advanced missile tracking from low-Earth orbit. The company said Wednesday the critical design review is part of the Space Development Agency’s Tranche 1 Tracking Layer project, which seeks to use the satellites for identifying hypersonic weapons and advanced missiles from their initial launch phases to interception.

Board Members of GE Vernova, GE Aerospace Announced

Stephen Angel, formerly the CEO of chemicals company Linde, will become the non-executive chairman of the board of GE Vernova, which is set to spin off as an independent public company from General Electric during the second quarter of 2024. The other members of GE Vernova's board of directors include former Shell Chief Financial Officer Jessica Uhl, incumbent GE Vernova CEO Scott Strazik and current Lockheed Martin CFO Jesus Malave, GE said Tuesday.
