Leidos has entered into a strategic collaboration agreement with Amazon Web Services, a partnership that will see the two companies leverage their strengths to deliver innovations benefiting public sector and commercial customers. The multi-year SCA dedicates enterprise data management and analysis, automation and artificial intelligence resources and utilizes multi-domain operations capabilities to enable go-to-market offerings, Leidos said Wednesday.

A subsidiary of Airbus U.S. Space & Defense has opened a new hangar in Mobile, Alabama, dedicated to maintenance, repair and overhaul work on various U.S. military aircraft. Rob Geckle, chairman and CEO of Airbus, said the company has invested between $5 million and $10 million in the construction of the new military aircraft hangar, which adds nearly 18,000 square feet of workspace for Airbus U.S. Military Aircraft, bringing the total area of the company's Mobile site to around 65,000 square feet.

Mattermost has developed four new chat operations features aimed at enhancing real-time mission intelligence sharing for the U.S. Air Force 618th Air Operations Center. The California-based company said Tuesday the culmination of the 18-month development effort marks the fulfillment of the $750,000 Small Business Innovation Research Phase II contract it previously received through the AFWERX program.
