ManTech, Purdue Global Partner on Cybersecurity Apprenticeship Program; Kevin Phillips Quoted
ManTech International and Purdue University Global have teamed up to offer an apprenticeship program that aims to further build up employees’ cyber capabilities and establish a trained cybersecurity workforce. The Cybersecurity Registered Apprenticeship program will also fund college-level instruction to develop a pipeline of cyber professionals in support of the country’s security requirements, ManTech said Friday.

Army Eyes Six OTA Awards Under ‘Enterprise IT as a Service’ Program
The U.S. Army plans to award six contracts under the Enterprise Information Technology as a Service program using its “other transaction†authority, Bloomberg Government reported Friday. “We are using the OTA process to do the prototyping of how to execute EITaaS more rapidly,†Tara Clements, a spokesperson for the Army’s program executive office for enterprise information systems, said in an email.

Splunk’s Frank Dimina: AI Key to Locating, Analyzing ‘Dark Data’
Splunk surveyed over 1.3K information technology managers and found that 77 percent of IT respondents in the public sector said finding and utilizing dark and grey data should be considered a top priority, FedScoop reported Thursday. The survey showed that 76 percent of respondents claimed lack of senior-level support at their agencies was a challenge to using dark and grey data.

The former Army major general holds 35 years of military experience and led the development of a logistics framework during his service tenure, the company said Thursday.
