Two Aerojet Rocketdyne-built engines helped power United Launch Alliance‘s  Delta II rocket that launched a National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration satellite into space. Aerojet Rocketdyne has received a $22.7 million contract modification for the development of a reusable oxidizer rich staged combustion cycle booster engine designed to use liquid oxygen baseline propellants.
