CEA Space Partners I, a special purpose acquisition company led by satellite industry veteran Edward Horowitz, plans to launch an initial public offering to raise $250 million in funds. The Tampa, Florida-based company intends to offer 25 million units consisting of a share of Class A common stock and a third of one redeemable warrant at a price of $10 per unit with plans to have them listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol “CEAS.U,” according to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing.

ABL Space Systems has raised $170 million in a round of Series B financing led by accounts and funds advised by global investment management firm T. Rowe Price Associates. Existing investors, Fidelity Management and Research and an unnamed global investment management firm participated in the new funding round that values ABL at $1.3 billion.

The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency has named the research teams that will work on a program that seeks to develop technologies that could help mitigate interference for wideband radio frequency systems. The selected teams that will work on the Wideband Adaptive RF Protection program are BAE Systems, Raytheon Technologies and its Collins Aerospace business, Northrop Grumman, Indiana Microelectronics, L3Harris Technologies, Columbia University and the University of Pennsylvania.

Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger has launched a new integrated device manufacturing strategy to help the company advance innovation and drive product leadership. Gelsinger said in a statement published Tuesday the company will use the IDM 2.0 strategy to design and manufacture products in the “best way possible for every category we compete in.”

NASA will use a ground recorder developed by Crystal Instruments to measure an aircraft’s sonic thumps in the Mojave Desert in California. The space agency will field an aircraft from NASA Armstrong Flight Research Center in California to simulate the X-59 Quiet SuperSonic Technology's acoustic validation phase as part of the Carpet Determination in Entirety Measurements flight series and then will gather lessons from the CarpetDIEM tests to inform possible modifications that could be integrated into the final design of the Crystal Instruments Ground Recording System.

Rocket Lab on Monday launched into orbit six spacecraft for its government and commercial clients as part of the 19th mission of its Electron rocket. The Electron rocket for the They Go Up So Fast mission lifted off from a launch complex in New Zealand to field the six customer payloads, including a technology demonstrator for the U.S. Army’s Space and Missile Defense Command and a CubeSat for Care Weather Technologies.
