DISA Updates Inmarsat Broadband Satcom Support RFI to Cover CMMC Requirements

The Defense Information Systems Agency has issued an updated request for information on broadband satellite communications services to add requirements for meeting Level 3 Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification program criteria. DISA said in the updated notice posted Wednesday that the U.S. Space Force seeks Inmarsat resellers to provide services and equipment that support the Inmarsat-built Global Xpress satellite and Broadband Global Area Network.

Perspecta Labs to Support DOD 5G Testbed Programs; Petros Mouchtaris Quoted

Perspecta’s research and engineering arm has received two contracts worth $8.1 million combined to provide prototyping support for the Department of Defense’s 5G testbed initiatives. ULA Sends Atlas V Rocket to Space Force for 5th SBIRS Satellite Launch

United Launch Alliance has shipped its Atlas V vehicle to the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida ahead of launching a Lockheed Martin-built satellite that will join a constellation of missile-warning spacecraft. An Atlas V 421 rocket will send the Space-Based Infrared System Geosynchronous Earth Orbit 5 satellite to orbit on behalf of the Space and Missile Systems Center, ULA said Thursday.

Raytheon Books Air Force Contract for High-Energy Laser Weapon Delivery

A Raytheon Technologies business has received a $15.5 million contract from the U.S. Air Force Lifecycle Management Center to provide a modified version of the companyâ€™s high-energy laser weapon system.
