A Brief History of Skanska AB and Skanska USA
Rudolf Fredrik Berg established Skanska in Malmo, southern Sweden, around 1887. It was officially registered as A.B. Skanska Cementgjuteriet in the Stockholm Exchange A list but later changed its name to Skanska in 1984.
Skanska USA’s first U.S. project was the 63rd Street Subway line in New York in 1971. Over the years, Skanska has established its presence mainly through acquisitions of U.S. companies, becoming a larger group of prime construction companies building roads, offices, residential spaces, and power plants.
Having expanded to various locations in the U.S., Skanska USA became the largest generating unit of the Skanska Group.

Don Fusco, Skanska USA Civil President and CEO
As Skanska USA Civil’s President and CEO since October 2018, Don Fusco currently leads a team of over 7,000 white- and blue-collar professionals and oversees the company’s civil construction sites.
Fusco has over 40 years of professional experience and has helped bolster Skanska’s reputation in delivering various noteworthy development projects throughout the United States. Before his current role, Fusco served as the Senior Vice President and General Manager of Skanska’s Northeast Region.

Paul Hewins, Skanska USA Building President and CEO
Paul Hewins has served as Skanska USA Building’s President and CEO since 2018. He currently leads a team of 3,200 construction professionals that provide top-caliber construction services and projects throughout the United States.
Hewins possesses 30 years of experience in the construction industry, 20 years of those with Skanska. He has used his professional experience to foster an all-encompassing and cooperative culture and demonstrate operational and financial understanding in the company.

As Skanska USA Commercial Development’s President and CEO, Murphy McCullough has shown competence in managing various mixed-use, high-sustainability, customer-focused, and multi-family properties in the United States.
With over 25 years of experience in real estate development, McCullough has set strategic directions on improving effectiveness and efficiency in company operations and assessing potential market expansion opportunities. Anders Danielsson, President and CEO
Anders Danielsson is the current President of the Global Leadership Team and the Chief Executive Officer of the Skanska Group. He joined Skanska in 1991 and is currently responsible for the business units Skanska Finland, Skanska Sweden, and Sweden Housing.
Before being CEO, Danielsson started as the President of Skanska Norway and Sweden and Executive Vice President of Skanska AB.
Caroline Fellenius-Omnell, EVP and General Counsel
Caroline Fellenius-Omnell joined Skanska in 2017. Besides being Executive Vice President (EVP), she is currently the company’s General Counsel and is responsible for company core functions such as legal affairs and assurance and control.
Lena Hök, EVP
Lena Hök currently serves as the Executive Vice President of Skanska AB. Her responsibility for the core function of sustainability and innovation marked her as a leader with the ambition to incorporate sustainability with Skanska’s business model.
