Textron's aviation business will manufacture and deliver 14 Textron's Multi-Engine Training System aircraft to the U.S. Navy under a $121.3 million contract modification. The Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard will use the aircraft as an intermediate and advanced training platform for the service branches\' P-8, EP-3, KC-130, E-6, E-2, CMV-22 and MV-22 aircraft, the Department of Defense said Thursday.

The aeronautics business of General Atomics plans to put forward a modified version of its MQ-1C Gray Eagle unmanned aircraft system to address the U.S. Army's requirement for an armed scout aircraft. General Atomics Aeronautical Systems Inc. head Dave Alexander made the revelation in a recent interview, saying, "We’re trying to jump into that [opportunity]."

A potential foreign military sale of Basler BT-67 aircraft to the government of Argentina has been approved by the U.S. Department of State. The Defense Security Cooperation Agency said Thursday that the FMS has an estimated cost of $143 million and includes the aircraft themselves, various parts, technical documentation, training equipment and logistics and program support, such as personnel training, technical and engineering services and transportation.

The U.S. Army Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation has released a draft solicitation for a potential $127 million follow-on contract to maintain a computer-generated system for managing the entire constructive modeling and simulation life cycle. PEO STRI requires software development, integration, testing, engineering releases and maintenance of the One Semi-Automated Forces program, which supports force modernization and transformation modeling and simulation initiatives, according to a notice posted Tuesday on SAM.gov.

Boeing has received a potential five-year, $56.4 million contract from the U.S. Navy to provide engineering, maintenance and instrumentation support for the service branch's fleet of F/A-18 A-F and EA-18G aircraft. Contract work will occur in Patuxent River, Maryland, through April 2029, the Department of Defense said Tuesday.

Parry Labs will work to deliver software and mission system hardware for the P550 uncrewed aircraft system under a teaming agreement with AeroVironment. Aerospace and defense company Mercury Systems has received a $31 million contract from L3Harris Technologies to support the Space Development Agency's Tranche 2 Tracking Layer. Raft, a software engineering firm, received over $60 million in strategic growth investment from Washington Harbour Partners, a private investment firm. The U.S. Air Force has concluded the initial operational test and evaluation of a BAE Systems-built electronic warfare system for the F-15E Strike Eagle and F-15EX Eagle II aircraft. Parry Labs will provide an Intel server-class edge computing hardware to General Atomic for use in the modernization of the U.S. Air Force's MQ-9A aircraft, a remotely piloted aircraft built by GA's aeronautical systems business. The delivery of Edge Compute Hyper and Edge Compute Autonomy systems to General Atomics Aeronautical Systems Inc. will be made under a potential $13 million subcontract award, Parry Labs said Thursday.

The U.S. Air Force has released a draft solicitation for a potential 10-year, $12.5 billion contract for support services to modernize, operate and maintain network infrastructure across all Department of the Air Force bases worldwide. The service branch intends to establish a pool of qualified sources to support the multiple-award Base Infrastructure Modernization indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, according to a presolicitation notice published Thursday.
