Amazon Web Services has secured High authorization under the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program for its end-to-end encrypted service available for AWS GovCloud customers in the U.S. West region. AWS Wickr is an encrypted communications service that uses a 256-bit encryption technique to enable government and commercial customers to secure group messaging, voice and video calling, screen sharing and file sharing, AWS said Thursday.

Wickr has secured a potential two-year, $35M contract to provide a recall, alert and messaging service to all three military departments under the Department of Defense. The company said Tuesday it will extend adoption of the Wickr RAM collaboration platform across the departments of the U.S. Air Force, Navy and Army under a new contract with USAF.

Wickr has received a two-year, $35M contract to develop a suite of recall, alert and messaging applications for the U.S. Air Force. The San Francisco-based company will provide cloud-based RAM tools designed to help users manage protected files, videos, chats, text messages and voice communications, the Department of Defense said Monday.
