Mitre has worked with Red Balloon Security and Narf Industries to develop a threat model designed to provide device manufacturers, asset owners, testing organizations and security researchers a knowledge base of cyberthreats to critical infrastructure embedded devices. The EMB3D Threat Model is a framework that provides security mechanisms meant to help device vendors mitigate cyberthreats, Mitre said Wednesday.

ECS will add Microsoft Defender as an endpoint tool to the second version of its Army Endpoint Security Solution as part of capability improvements and upgrades, said Mark Maglin, ECS' vice president of Department of Defense cybersecurity. Maglin discussed in an interview his company's plan to accomplish the five-year, $430 million contract recompete it won from the U.S. Army Cyber Command in September 2022.

Fortress Information Security has joined the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency's public-private partnership initiative aimed at strengthening U.S. defenses against cyberattacks.
