Oracle's headquarters has been transferred from Redwood City, California to Austin, Texas, in a move to provide employees of the software company more work location options amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Bloomberg reported Saturday.

Oracle has secured moderate-level authorization under the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program for a variant of its cloud-based tool designed to provide a common data environment for linking teams and information.

Jose Arrieta, former chief information officer at the Department of Health and Human Services, said the use of a cloud platform from Oracle has helped HHS enhance tracking of clinical trials of potential vaccines for COVID-19, FedScoop reported Wednesday.

The FedRAMP Joint Authorization Board (JAB) has granted Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Government Cloud Services a provisional authority to operate, the company announced Tuesday. "Achieving a FedRAMP JAB P-ATO is a key step as we help our public sector customers take advantage of OCI's security, innovation, and cost savings for their missions." said Scott Twaddle, vice president of Oracle's regulated markets for OCI.

Oracle has built a cloud application system for a National Institutes of Health component to identify qualified participants for large-scale clinical trials of vaccines and monoclonal antibody therapies for the novel coronavirus. The registry is designed to screen indviduals who have volunteered to join tests through the National Institutes of Allergy and Infectious Diseases' COVID-19 Prevention Network, Oracle said Thursday.

Oracle has partnered with the city of Vallejo in California to deploy the company’s web-based community development tool to help simplify the delivery of construction permit services to constituents.

Bias Corp. has partnered with Oracle to offer the latter’s engineered systems, cloud computing and hardware products through the General Services Administration’s IT Schedule contract vehicle.

Akima has announced that its subsidiary, Affigent, has integrated Oracle Cloud Software-as-a-Service and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure services to its General Services Administration MAS Contract under SIN 518210C, the company announced on Friday. 

DLT Solutions, a Tech Data subsidiary, will further its distribution of Oracle offerings to government entities under a contract modification with the General Services Administration.

Oracle’s cloud applications suite has achieved FedRAMP Moderate Authorization to provide a standardized security vetting and improve customers’ experience by enhancing cloud services  and monitoring products, the company announced on Wednesday.
