Industrial network technology maker Rajant has appointed former Department of Defense officials Michael Griffin and Lisa Porter as well as former Northrop Grumman executive Daniel Verwiel as strategic advisers to inform market strategy development efforts.

Guidehouse has been recognized as a “Military Friendly Employer” by veteran-owned recruitment marketing company Viqtory for the second consecutive year.

Dr. Lisa Porter, former deputy undersecretary for research and engineering at the Department of Defense, has returned to the Riverside Research board of trustees, the company reported on Monday. Porter has nearly 25 years of experience in the defense and technology industries and is currently the co-president and co-founder of LogiQ.

Sayari Labs, a Washington, D.C.-based developer of financial intelligence platforms, has added $2.5M to its round of Series B financing after it secured investments from In-Q-Tel, TFX Capital and MissionOG.

Intelligence community venture capital firm In-Q-Tel has invested in and partnered with Deepgram to help bring the latter's speech recognition technology to the government. 

Data security firm Enveil has raised $10M in a round of Series A financing led by C5 Capital and supported by several investors including Capital One Ventures, Mastercard, 1843 Capital and Bloomberg Beta. Enveil said Tuesday it will use the investment to expand its ZeroReveal product line, build up its global sales team and client support functions and broaden its presence in government and commercial markets.

Industry experts said space startups are engaging more with the U.S. government as they see it as a client and as an investor, SpaceNews reported Thursday. “We saw many firms overtly or less overtly turn towards government as a potential customer," Carissa Christensen, CEO of analyst firm Bryce Space & Technology, said Tuesday at a Washington Space Business Roundtable event.

IBM has added new industry, academe and government members to the company’s partner network dedicated to the development of quantum technologies.

PAE has landed the top 50 spot on Indeed.com’s list of top veteran employers and was named a military spouse-friendly employer by Military.com and Viqtory Media.

Viqtory has recognized Vectrus for the latter’s efforts to employ, retain and support former military service personnel.

Veteran-owned small business Viqtory has included SOS International in its list of military friendly employers for 2020.

Vannebar Labs plans to introduce technology platforms that leverage artificial intelligence, natural language processing and machine learning to help defense and intelligence agencies address national security issues, TechCrunch reported Wednesday.
