Leidos will provide the National Institutes of Health’s Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health with information technology support, development, design and implementation services under a three-year contract. The contract, awarded by the Department of Health and Human Services, has a one-year base term and two option years and includes the delivery of scalable systems in support of ARPA-H's mission, Leidos said Monday.

Leidos' Advanced Multilayered Mobile Force Protection technology was able to track and identify all threats despite clutter in a demonstration of its counter - small unmanned aerial system. The company announced Monday that it achieved its objectives in a simulation conducted in partnership with the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command Aviation and Missile Center.

Bryan Jolly, formerly chief operating officer at Leidos' QTC Management subsidiary, has been named senior vice president of the digital transformation information technology business area for the defense contractor's Defense Information Systems Agency portfolio, according to his LinkedIn post. He has over 15 years of experience managing service delivery programs for defense, intelligence and civilian agencies.

Leidos, in collaboration with the American arm of German technology developer Rohde & Schwarz, has deployed a new flight service voice communications system for the Federal Aviation Administration. The activity is part of the flight services required under a previously awarded contract in support of the FAA’s Future Flight Services Program, Leidos said Thursday.

Leidos has delivered the initial round of Enduring Shield launchers ordered under a U.S. Army contract. Produced by the company's Dynetics subsidiary, the launchers are ground-based, mobile systems designed to address threats associated with combat cruise missiles and unmanned aircraft to safeguard civilian and military infrastructure, Leidos announced from Huntsville, Alabama on Thursday.

Leidos has completed a demonstration of its Enduring Shield Weapon System as a launcher for the AIM-9X missile interceptor. The Risk Reduction Flight Demonstration sets the stage for the developmental test phase of Enduring Shield launchers, which will begin in January, Leidos said Tuesday.

Nancy Ann Norton, a retired U.S. Navy vice admiral who served as director of the Defense Information Systems Agency, will join the board of directors of Leidos on Jan. 1. Leidos CEO Thomas Bell said Norton will help the company have better customer challenge understanding and maintain its industry position.

Leidos concluded the on-orbit demonstration of the Lonestar tactical space support vehicle designed to provide space-based situational awareness for warfighters. Leidos said Tuesday its subsidiary Dynetics developed the Lonestar TSSV for the U.S. Army under a contract awarded in 2018.

Leidos has awarded a subcontract to Stratolaunch to conduct flight tests in support of the Multiservice Advanced Capability Test Bed program of the Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane Division. The contract award covers five flights involving Stratolaunch's reusable, autonomous Talon-A hypersonic vehicles and optional payloads, prime contractor Leidos said Tuesday.

Four unmanned surface vessels outfitted with Leidos' autonomy technology have reached Sydney Harbor as part of the U.S. Navy's Integrated Battle Problem 23.2 multidomain exercise aimed at incorporating autonomous systems into fleet operations. Gerry Fasano, president of Leidos' defense group and a four-time Wash100 awardee, said in a company statement published Tuesday that the deployment will give "fleet commanders much-needed enhancements to maritime domain awareness, accelerating the speed and lethality of existing maritime kill chains."

Leidos will develop four Medium Range Air Defense Radar prototype systems under a two-year, $32 million contract awarded by the Marine Corps System Command through the Consortium Management Group. As lead of the new effort, Dynetics Group will utilize its sensor development knowledge gained from previous programs, such as the Marine Expeditionary Long Range Persistent Sensor initiative.

Leidos and its partners have completed the delivery of the MHS Genesis electronic health record system to an additional 7,000 medical providers and clinicians across 10 military treatment facilities in Asia as part of the second wave deployment outside the contiguous U.S.
