Cubic has updated the company’s combat training system with new features the company designed to help locate the system’s position.
The Earth Center Earth Fixed coordinates have been added to the P5CTS system in order to expand training area coverage, move across several exercise regions and enhance weapon simulations and data capture, Cubic said Monday.
“This essential upgrade enables long-range missions to run across multiple adjacent ranges without having to load different coordinate planes,†said Bill Toti, president of Cubic’s global defense segment.
The P5CTS works to display live-air picture, record mission data and transmit time, space and positioning data between aircraft.
Cubic will perform engineering work for the ECEF update in San Diego.
