AAR has been selected to perform logistics and maintenance services for the Afghan Air Force’s C-130H aircraft under a five-year, $72 million foreign military sales contract with the U.S. Air Force.
AAR will carry out operational and technical functions to sustain the fleet in Afghanistan using the logistics services of its aviation supply chain and expeditionary airlift groups, the company said Wednesday.
Lt. Gen. (Ret.) Don Wetekam, AAR senior vice president for government and defense, said the company would provide long-term operational and technical support in dynamic environments to execute the contract.
