A subsidiary of Fluor in Brazil will help construct a system that would collect up to 8.5 million cubic meters of natural gas per day in Maranhao, Brazil, as part of a consortium that secured a $100 million contract from Parnaiba Gas Natural.
Fluor said Thursday its Brazil division will work with Construcap CCPS Engenharia e Comercio and CFPS Engenharia e Projetos S.A. to develop a pipeline that will deliver gas to a treatment facility at the country’s Gaviao Real field.
“This award represents a key [engineering, procurement and construction] project for Fluor in Brazil,†said Jim Brittain, president of Fluor’s Energy & Chemicals Americas business.
“It speaks to the value of working closely with our client, starting with the project definition, to identify and implement the most capital efficient integrated solution.â€
