CACI Awarded $38M Rapid Prototyping, Technology Insertion Work for CERDEC; Ken Asbury Comments

CACI International has been awarded a contract to provide rapid prototyping and technology insertion support to the U.S. Army’s applied research facility for $38.5 million.

The new task order from the Communications-Electronics Research, Development and Engineering Center falls under an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract previously awarded to CACI in October 2012 and includes one year base period of performance and four option years, CACI said Thursday.

The RPTI includes lending systems engineering, architecture development, integration and analysis work for the Command, Power & Integration Directorate’s Prototyping, Integration and Testing Division in support of CERDEC initiatives.

Through the task order, CACI President and CEO Ken Asbury said the company would strive to provide C4ISR assessment platforms for emerging technologies designed to potentially better serve the warfighter.

“A major advantage CACI returns to this contract is its ability to leverage the services provided for the Communications-Electronics Research Development & Engineering Center C4ISR Ground Activity,” he said.
