Unisys and Rackwise have worked together to introduce a software product designed to help government customers manage their data center assets.
The Pennsylvania-based contractor has also been promoting its data center infrastructure management strategy to the federal sector over the past nine months, according to a Wednesday blog post by Kevin McCarthy, group vice president at Unisys Federal.
McCarthy writes that Unisys previously leveraged a Rackwise-designed toolset to manage its global data centers and achieved a return on investment by using the technology.
Unisys selected Rackwise’ DCiM X platform based on factors such as usability, technical features and licensing model, according to McCarthy.
Unisys also invested in training, lab expansion and solution development aside from entering into an exclusive multi-year partnership agreement with Rackwise.
