The State Department has awarded Michael Baker International a contract to build the U.S. headquarters for the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe.
The work will include construction and engineering services in compliance with OBO objectives for U.S. facilities in their host countries, the company said Friday.
Baker indicated that the OSCE offices will occupy two levels of the LEED-certified IZD Tower in Vienna, encompassing 43,000 square feet of total floor space.
The OSCE is a security-oriented regional group comprising the governments of 57 participating states with wide-ranging mandates, including fair elections, arms control, press freedom and human rights promotion.
