In a recent article posted on its website, technology company ECS discussed multiple artificial intelligence-related projects through which it has supported the missions of various U.S. government agencies.
NGA
In the case of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, ECS Federal serves as the prime AI interoperability integrator for the Maven Program, a GEOINT AI effort that seeks to analyze imagery and automatically detect, identify and characterize various objects and features.
ECS is also the NGA’s largest provider of remote sensing image scientists and data scientists. The company also provides AI-driven capabilities that help automate satellite imagery and geospatial data processing and analysis.
DOD, VA and the Navy
In the case of the Department of Defense, ECS supports the agency’s efforts to develop an AI factory as part of a broader computer vision program. The company works to curate standard and non-standard data files and trains AI models that are deployed globally.
The company also developed an AI-powered natural language processing tool for the Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Experience Office. The capability works to classify and analyze unstructured data, allowing the office to support veterans faster through streamlined operations.
And for the U.S. Navy, the company supports numerous projects, providing AI models that enhance the military service’s situational awareness.
CISA and USPS
ECS has provided support for the Cybersecurity Infrastructure Security Agency and the U.S. Postal Service as well. The company played a role in transforming CISA’s risk management system into the AI-powered Continuous Diagnostic and Mitigation dashboard ecosystem. And for USPS, the company developed a machine learning-based system that helps automate the detection of postal fraud.
Empowering Federal Agencies
Commenting on these collaborations with the government, ECS Senior Vice President of Technology and Innovation Marshall Thames said his company “supports essential agencies and organizations across the government in making strategic, long-term investments in responsible AI development and use.”
“Empowering federal agencies through AI innovation is a core component of our commitment to providing mission-critical solutions for those who serve and protect the American people and U.S. interests,” Thames added.
