The Space Systems Command has issued a request for information for potential contractors that can provide sustainment support services for the Counter Communications System Meadowlands.
Meadowlands Sustainment Contract Details
According to the solicitation notice posted Friday on SAM.gov, the Meadowlands Sustainment Contract involves 8 functional areas. These include program management to oversee the project and ensure quality sustainment support services, future system transition and sustainment to streamline the development of new ground-based counterspace weapons and depot and sustainment engineering, maintenance and repair services.
In addition, the sustainment work encompasses studies and analysis to support efforts such as cost reduction, system availability and maintainability enhancement, upgrading of obsolete components and assessment of future capabilities. The contract also covers systems upgrades and modifications to meet emerging threats and quick reaction capability, or QRC, transition to operational systems.
Lastly, the sustainment work involves organizational level maintenance, including on-site maintenance, and system procurement or the acquisition of commercial off-the-shelf hardware.
What is CCS Meadowlands
Meadowlands is a ground-based transportable counter satellite communications system developed designed to block or disrupt enemy SATCOM. It is composed of modular commercial off-the-shelf / government off-the-shelf radio frequency monitoring and generation equipment.
The system’s flexible and modular design allows plug and play integration of updates or new technologies. It can be deployed rapidly and can be scaled to meet mission requirements. Furthermore, the CCS has signal processing/generation capabilities.
The potential project will have a base period of 2 years with 3 option years. It is expected to start during the first quarter of fiscal year 2026.
