Carahsoft Technology has announced the launch of a digital catalog dubbed CarahCloud Marketplace.
Carahsoft said Monday that the digital catalog is built on recently released AWS Marketplace application programming interfaces and serves as a storefront that facilitates the sale of independent software vendor offerings to public sector buyers.
Commenting on the value that the APIs bring, Tina Chiao, the director of the AWS business unit at Carahsoft said the APIs offer “a complete storefront experience to our resell partners and their customers’ acquisition of third-party software products” and make it possible for software vendors “to expand their Marketplace solution offerings specific to the Public Sector from months to days.”
For his part, Carahsoft President and 2024 Wash100 awardee Craig Abod expressed excitement over the launch of CarahCloud Marketplace, saying it “simplifies the customers’ acquisition process for their cloud-based products available in AWS Marketplace, offering flexible payment terms and options to purchase from their preferred Marketplace channel partner through a single motion.”
“We look forward to future AWS Marketplace API releases in advancing the transformation of Public Sector customers’ Marketplace experience,” Abod added.
