Joshua Thiel has taken on the role of vice president of growth and business development at systems engineering and integration firm Chartis Federal.
Thiel said on LinkedIn that his new position entails overseeing efforts to grow Chartis Federal’s client base and introduce new offerings.
Thiel’s prior employers include Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Booz Allen Hamilton and, most recently, geographic information system software provider Esri, where he served as an account executive for over five years.
The new Chartis Federal also served as a councilman at the town of Leesburg in Virginia. He was elected to the position in 2018 through a special election and he held the office for two years.
Regarding his latest appointment, Thiel said he felt honored for being given “the responsibility of establishing new partnerships for the solutions needed for tomorrow.”
He also said he was looking forward to engaging in collaboration that “will play a pivotal role in shaping our achievements that will leave a lasting mark on the industry.”
