Executive Mosaic is thrilled to announce that Craig Halliday, CEO of Unanet, has joined the ranks of the 2023 Wash100 class for his dedicated efforts to deliver the company’s premier enterprise resource planning and customer relationship management platforms to government contractors while harnessing the current landscape of changing trends to best suit customer needs.
The annual Wash100 Award shines the spotlight to the most consequential executives in the government contracting industry following a rigorous selection process, which considers the past triumphs and anticipated future impacts of its contenders. Since joining Unanet in 2019, Halliday’s drive to aid GovCon organizations with modern, automated software has propelled the company forward. Within the past year, his work has centered around enhancing the organization’s GovCon ERP program while considering industry demands to boost user experience.
In a recent interview with GovCon Wire, Halliday discussed the upgrades Unanet made to its ERP for GovCon platform last year, which include improvements to purchasing, licensing and reporting functions to support decision-making and company growth.
“This also helps make analyzing data easier. It’s hard enough to keep up with all these projects. You need to be sure that you’ve got reliable data and that you’re working with a reliable partner who will help you organize that data in the right way,” he said.
Halliday’s efforts to support government contractors are guided by client relationships. His approach is informed by Unanet’s GAUGE Report, an annual investigation into the trends shaping the GovCon market, which he said is an “excellent tool for understanding the GovCon landscape.”
Last year’s survey identified real-time data and real-time information needed to support remote working environments as prominent focus areas for contracting organizations in the current industry climate.
In line with this trend, Halliday said Unanet’s paperless capabilities are “designed for remote workforces” to prevent hindrances caused by legacy methods.
“Our interface is designed to make analyzing data easier, and we tailor features to meet our customers’ needs, so we are a partner in their growth and there to support them as they evolve,” he said.
Halliday’s dedication to the customer-based approach has expanded Unanet’s reach in the GovCon sector. In September 2022, McHenry Management Group adopted Unanet’s GovCon ERP program to better organize its design and development initiatives for public sector clients.
Just last month, Planate Management Group, a service-disabled, veteran-owned small business, chose the ERP tool to streamline processes and reduce backlog in anticipation of domestic and international expansion.
More recently, Unanet’s GovCon ERP was selected by JS Solutions, a veteran-owned small business focused on defense contracting, to bolster its data analytics, financial reporting and compliance tools to complement its accelerating growth.
Halliday said that Unanet’s success is “really just a matter of providing our customers with the best, most intuitive solution that can help them run their businesses more efficiently and productively.”
“We value our partnership with GovCons and support them with personalized, modern solutions for all of the ever-mounting challenges they face in their fields,” he said.
Looking forward, Halliday aims to carry this momentum into the next year with the release of a variety of new features designed with input from customers in mind.
“Our growing market preeminence, along with increased investments in product, talent, and service, give us confidence that 2023 will be our best year yet,” Halliday said in Unanet’s 2022 summary.
Executive Mosaic thanks and congratulates Craig Halliday and the Unanet team for their first Wash100 Award win.
