CGI Federal has won a 10-year task order from the State Department to extend its provision of consular services for the Bureau of Consular Affairs in the Republic of India.
The award was issued as part of the Global Support Strategy for Overseas Consular Support Services 2.0 contract vehicle and tasks the CGI subsidiary to use CGI Atlas360 offering to deliver on-site processing assistance for consular services, the company announced from Fairfax, Virginia on Thursday.
“CGI Federal is proud to extend its relationship with the Bureau of Consular Affairs and provide capabilities that will maintain the efficiency and security of the U.S. visa application process in India,” said Lacy Perry, senior vice president of consulting delivery and international affairs and energy business unit account lead at CGI Federal.

The CGI Atlas360 tool is designed to make the visa application process secure and flexible by offering a person-centric, end-to-end view. Also included in the software is a built-in functionality intended to prevent fraud and abuse in the appointment system.
This contract win reflects CGI’s history of supporting the State Department. In 2021, the enterprise won a prime spot on a $3.3 billion multiple award contract also issued under the GSS 2.0 vehicle to provide similar services.
Earlier, CGI won a five-year, $900 million contract to produce passports, deliver passport application processing assistance and provide on-site administrative and management aid for the same bureau. Activities under this award supported 24 passport agencies and three passport centers in the continental U.S.
