Jacobs will help manage launch infrastructure and ground systems at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida under a potential 10-year, $3.2 billion contract.

The company said Friday it will support key NASA programs including the Exploration Ground Systems, the Orion and Space Launch System rockets and the International Space Station as part of the Consolidated Operations, Management, Engineering and Test contract.

The contract encompass launch, landing and recovery operations; ground system development; engineering; and flight vehicle and spacecraft processing.

“Jacobs provided excellent support in helping NASA upgrade KSC’s heritage shuttle facilities and ground systems in preparation for the first Artemis flight,” said Steve Arnette, executive vice president and president of critical mission solutions at Jacobs and a 2023 Wash100 awardee.

COMET has a three-year, five-month base period slated to begin May 1 and options that would extend services for another four years and seven months.
