Hammerspace has commenced operations of its U.S. federal division and appointed Robert Renzoni, former senior official at Quantum, as director of technical sales responsible for leading the new business arm.
In his new role, Renzoni will spearhead the Hammerspace team in bringing the global data environment to the public sector, the company said Wednesday.
As part of the establishment of its federal division, Hammerspace is set to introduce new initiatives to expand its engagement with federal agencies.
Renzoni spent nearly two and a half decades at Quantum, where he most recently served as senior technical sales director for Americas. He is also a former electronic warfare technical for the U.S. Air Force.
In addition to Renzoni’s appointment, former CIA Chief Technology Officer Bob Flores joined Hammerspace’s advisory board. Flores is also the founder and CTO of information technology consulting firm Applicology.
