Mile Corrigan, a more than two-decade Noblis executive, was selected to succeed Amr ElSawy as the company’s president and CEO, a position ElSawy has occupied since 2007.
In line with the planned executive move, Corrigan will immediately become executive vice president and will work with ElSawy over the next several months to prepare for the leadership transition on Oct. 12, the science, technology and strategy services consultancy said Wednesday.
Corrigan, who most recently served as senior vice president of federal civilian solutions at Noblis, expressed admiration for ElSawy’s 15 years of leadership and said she was honored to “build on his legacy.”
“I look forward to working together to ensure a seamless transition for our clients, employees and other stakeholders,” Corrigan continued.
Corrigan has been with Noblis since 2001. She began as a computer scientist, software architect and senior manager and rose to several positions such as director of the Center of Digital Excellence.
At Noblis, the executive has led market strategies for federal-facing aviation, transportation, telecommunications and health programs and specializes in research and technology services.
In November, Corrigan spoke with ExecutiveBiz for her Executive Spotlight interview.
“I can tell you that customer experience is the top priority at Noblis. This begins with our organizational structure. We intentionally organized our internal structure around our customers’ and their missions as our goal is to understand every facet of the agencies we support, and ultimately, combine our deep mission knowledge with our extensive research and unique strategic and technical expertise,” she said.
Noblis VP of Homeland Security Jordin Cohen will act as Federal Civilian Solutions VP until a successor for Corrigan is identified.
As president and CEO, ElSawy has directed the company through major merger and acquisition activities and has leveraged his knowledge of the national security, intelligence, homeland security and civil sectors.
ElSawy noted that in his years of service, Noblis was awarded “numerous patents and [has] delivered innovative solutions to help enrich lives and protect our nation.”
ElSawy has also received several leadership nods, including two Wash100 Awards, in addition to the top workplace recognitions Noblis garnered under his watch.
“We’re ready for the next phase of growth and I know that Mile will continue building on our successes,” ElSawy concluded.
