AeroVironment has moved its corporate headquarters to Arlington, Virginia in an effort to grow its Washington, D.C. presence while maintaining operations in Simi Valley, California– where it was previously based– and other company locations in the U.S. and Germany.
Wahid Nawabi, president and CEO of AeroVironment, said in a statement published Tuesday the relocation is aimed at gaining more proximity to key customers and access to talent, industry decision makers and influencers in the region.
“Our recent acquisition of Progeny Systems ISG and our new Artificial Intelligence Innovation Center expand our footprint near the Beltway and build on our momentum as we continue to grow our portfolio and global scope,” he added.
AeroVironment works to provide defense, government and commercial clients with multi-domain robotic systems as well as sensors, software analytics and connectivity services.
