Jon Campagna, former chief financial officer of Virgin Galactic, has been appointed to the same position at San Francisco-based Earth observation satellite operator Capella Space.
He brings more than two decades of financial work experience at public and private companies to Capella Space, the company said Wednesday.
Campagna helped Virgin Galactic become the first commercial human spaceflight company to go public through its 2019 merger with public investment firm Social Capital Hedosophia.
In the same announcement, Capella Space named Julie Ambory as vice president of people and Nate Ricklin as VP of product engineering.
Ambory, a two-decade human resources veteran, will oversee the company’s people operations, global recruiting and talent development functions.
Ricklin, who previously held engineering roles at Arturo.ai and Maxar Technologies, will oversee the design and development of Earth observation technology in his new position.
