AECOM has partnered with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to support critical national airspace system operations during the COVID-19 pandemic, the company reported on Monday. To date, AECOM has completed 63 tasks in 23 states.Â

AECOM’s team of environmental and disaster response experts, supported by the company’s disinfection partners, began helping the FAA maintain continuity of airspace operations after the COVID-19 outbreak in the U.S. Since the company began work, AECOM has completed disinfection tasks overnight to minimize disruptions.
The company has leveraged its knowledge of FAA facilities, disaster response teams that have demonstrated experience in rapid mobilization, and industrial hygiene and hazardous materials expertise, under the partnership.
In addition, AECOM has established resource teams across the country are able to respond to project sites within hours of notification from the FAA. The company’s detailed project procedures and safety protocols are implemented in accordance with Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines.
