Boeing will incorporate an audio management system designed by Orbit Communications Systems into the U.S. Air Force’s T-7A Red Hawk pilot training suite.
The Orion audio management suite employs a dual internet protocol ring topology to deliver system redundancy and accommodate network-based communications tools and applications, Orbit said Tuesday.
The platform also has adaptive noise reduction, voice-activated detection and 3D audio capacities.
“With our 20-year history with Boeing, we are excited to be the audio management system supplier for the next-generation trainer,†said Dany Eshchar, CEO at Orbit.
Red Hawk will work to provide pilot training to the Air Force’s potential bomber and fighter pilots. Boeing plans to initially produce 350 units after the aircraft’s engineering and manufacturing development phase.
