The Internal Revenue Service plans to refine its effort to purchase modern technologies in response to technical challenges.
IRS wants to change the security clearance process and expand the coverage of Pilot IRS, a procurement vehicle designed to address technology needs, the agency said Wednesday in a SAM notice.
The program’s second iteration will expand with three new areas of interest and a larger fund allotment for projects.
Future efforts under Pilot IRS will tackle the topics of procurement data visualization and enterprise systems testing via synthetic data. The agency also seeks to evaluate platforms by using code-free test automation tools.
Pilot IRS may add new projects in the next three to six months.
