Raytheon and IronNet Cybersecurity have teamed up to develop cyber platforms that could be used to defend operational and information technology systems against threat actors.
The cyber tools would include managed security services with threat sharing and analysis tools and would be part of the companies’ collective cyber defense offering for national security systems and critical infrastructure, Raytheon said Wednesday.
"Protecting critical infrastructure is no longer a private sector concern, but a national security imperative,†said John DeSimone, vice president of cybersecurity and special missions at Raytheon’s intelligence, information and services unit. “This partnership offers the integration of advanced cyber products and operations experience to the global market."
Keith Alexander, co-CEO and founder of IronNet and a previous Wash100 award winner, said the partnership with Raytheon will work to transform cyber defense paradigm, increase visibility into threats and facilitate information sharing.
