CenturyLink is on the lookout for opportunities to help more federal agencies transform network infrastructure assets through the Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions contract vehicle, FedScoop reported Friday.
The Monroe, La.-based telecommunications firm has won EIS task orders from the departments of the Interior and Defense Education Activity, NASA and the Social Security Administration since the company received an authority to operate on the potential 15-year, $50B contract in March last year.
"We're still waiting for some fairly large agencies to release what they're going to do from an EIS perspective," David Young, senior vice president of CenturyLink's public sector business and two-time Wash100 awardee, told FedScoop in an interview.
He said the company will work over the next couple of years to help customer agencies realize their vision for information technology modernization.
Young added he believes a fiber network is the foundation to address IT modernization goals.
