Jeff Stovall and Dennis John, former chief information officers at local governments, have been appointed to serve as directors of strategy and development for state and local applications at Oracle.
Oracle said Wednesday it hired the two as part of a move to revamp the firm’s business approach to the public sector.
Stovall functioned as Charlotte, N.C.’s CIO for 10 years and held leadership roles at various firms such as Gerson Lehrman Group and information technology company Sprint.
John’s 17-year local government career provided information leadership at multiple locations such as at Arlington, Texas; Racine, Wis.; and Milwaukee County.
