Ames Construction has won a potential 58-month, $58.8M contract from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to provide a facility, materials and labor needed to build a water containment structure with gates and a vehicle service bridge.
The project will also involve construction of a slope protection slab, a preformed scour hole, dam and approach walls and a stilling basin, the Department of Defense said Wednesday.
USACE received two bids for the firm-fixed-price contract and obligated the full amount from the service branch's fiscal 2019 civil construction funds.
Work will take place in Fargo, N.D., and is projected to conclude by Oct. 16, 2024.
Burnsville, Minn.-based Ames Construction works on energy, mining, residential and transportation projects for North American public and private sector customers.
