Envistacom has named Scott Sanders, a retired U.S. Navy rear admiral, as principal program director and appointed Roy Axford, a 39-year civil service veteran from the Department of Defense, to the company's waveform and analytics virtualization team as a senior member.
Sanders concluded his military career in 2013 and most recently served as president of acquisitions, logistics and foreign military sales for Navy unmanned aircraft systems at Ausley Associates, Envistacom said Monday.
He is credited with leading the transition of Ausley after MAG Aerospace acquired the unmanned systems developer in August last year.
Axford, who will also serve as an engineering fellow at Envistacom, held civil positions at the Navy for 37 years and at the Army for two years.
He previously served as an architect for detection and geolocation systems used on naval ships, and helped evaluate commercial technology offerings designed to mitigate interference for wideband satellite communications.
