IAP Worldwide Services has received a one-year, $84.6M contract modification to provide logistics support for the U.S. Navy's command post and communications relay aircraft.
The company will also help the service branch manage spare parts and maintain support equipment for E-6B planes built to perform take-charge/move-out and airborne command post missions, the Department of Defense said Monday.
Naval Air Systems Command will obligate $26.6M at the time of award from the service branch's fiscal 2020 maintenance and operations funds.
The Navy awarded the original contract to DRS Technologies in August 2015. IAP inherited the work through its acquisition of the aviation and logistics business from DRS in November of the same year.
