Steve Cambone, associate vice chancellor for research at the Texas A&M University System, has been added to Spirit AeroSystems’ board of directors.
Before his current capacity, Cambone offered technology development services at QinetiQ’s North America segment and established his own consulting firm, Spirit AeroSystems said Wednesday.
He also spent five years at the Department of Defense in various roles and was appointed its inaugural undersecretary of defense for intelligence.
“Steve brings world-class knowledge of cybersecurity in the context of private sector and government, which are both key to Spirit’s strategy to grow and diversify the company,†said Bob Johnson, chairman of the board at Spirit AeroSystems.
