Drone Aviation Holding has appointed executives David Aguilar and Dan Erdberg to fill the roles of former chairman and CEO Jay Nussbaum who recently passed away.
Aguilar, a member of the firm’s board of directors, will further contribute expertise in his new capacity as chairman, Drone Aviation said Thursday. The former public servant also functioned as U.S. Customs and Border Protection's acting commissioner.
“Through hard work and dedication, management’s efforts are now beginning to produce tangible results and I’m honored to advance Jay’s long-term vision as chairman of the board,†Aguilar said.
Erdberg, who has been Drone Aviation’s president since 2015, will go on to serve as the company’s CEO. He oversaw corporate development, strategic marketing and collaborative efforts during his time as president.
“It is with great respect and admiration for all that Jay accomplished that we honor his legacy and build upon the foundation he created,†Erdberg said.
Jay Nussbaum served as Drone Aviation’s CEO for over three years up to his passing at the age of 75.
Drone Aviation focuses on tethered technologies for unmanned aircraft systems.
