Honeywell Releases 30 Series IP Security Cameras

Honeywell unveiled a series of video cameras designed to augment building security via the use of channel encryption and analytics capabilities. The 30 Series IP cameras are built to allow HTTP encrypted streaming via MAXPRO network video recorders and capture images up to five megapixels, the company said July 30.

Additionally, the cameras achieved Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard requirements and can record long clips through the H.265 smart codec capability.

“With the release of the 30 Series IP Cameras, we are providing advanced secure channel encryption that guards against unauthorized access and unsanctioned distribution of data and video to help end users seamlessly integrate security into any business,” said Jeremy Kimber, video global product management director at Honeywell’s commercial security business.

Honeywell noted the units will help customers meet the John S. McCain National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2019, a legislation that restricts consumers and the U.S. government from purchasing telecommunication and video devices from select companies.
