Steve Timm, a 22-year veteran of Rockwell Collins, has succeeded Kent Statler as president of the avionics business at Collins Aerospace, Air Transport World reported Friday.
His appointment comes five months after United Technologies Corp. acquired Rockwell Collins and merged the latter with UTC’s aerospace systems unit to form Collins Aerospace.
Timm served as vice president and general manager of air transport systems at Rockwell Collins in the past six years and held similar roles within its flight information solutions business.
In his new capacity, he will lead an organization that develops aviation electronics and information management technology for military and commercial aircraft platforms.
