Scott Gnau, a more than two-decade data management industry veteran, has joined information technology firm InterSystems as vice president of data platforms.
Gnau will oversee sales, engineering and strategy for the IRIS technology designed to help customers manage large amounts of data, Intersystems said Monday.
He previously served as chief technology officer of Hortonworks, where he led global technology and product innovation strategies across the firm's research-and-development programs.
Before Hortonworks, he spent 20 years at Teradata in various leadership roles.
“As the new vice president for our flagship data platform, [Gnau] will help guide the future of the product – and, by extension, guide our customers to a new era of digital transformation," InterSystems CEO Terry Ragon said.
