Barrett Firearms Manufacturing has won a potential five-year, $49.9M contract to provide advanced sniper rifles to U.S. Special Operations Command.

SOCOM received six proposals for the firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract via a full and open solicitation on FedBizOpps and will obligate $387,234 at the time of award from the command’s fiscal 2019 research, development, test and evaluation funds, the Department of Defense said Monday.

Work will take place in Christiana, Tenn., and is expected to conclude by March 2024.

Barrett holds ISO 9001:2015 certification for quality management system and produces integrated ballistics computers, ammunition and firearms for government and military customers.
