Executive Mosaic is pleased to present Mark Gray, president and CEO of ASRC Federal, as an inductee into the 2019 edition of Wash100 — Executive Mosaic’s annual selection of influential leaders in the government contracting arena — for driving organic growth and delivering exceptional services to ASRC Federal’s clients. This marks his fifth consecutive Wash100 award.
Since joining the company in 2014, Gray has helped ASRC Federal broaden its client base and capabilities. He oversees a family of firms with employees across 40 sites and drives the company’s organic growth and is committed to deliver exceptional services.
Under his leadership, ASRC Federal received several big contracts in 2018, including a $202M contract to provide information technology support for the Drug Enforcement Administration’s diversion control division and a potential $200M contract to help the Air Force Research Laboratory test and evaluate rocket propulsion technologies.
“We have brought together a team of propulsion professionals with the experience and expertise required to design, construct and modify AFRL’s rocket test facilities and systems, and to safely perform test operations,†said Gray.
In June, the company landed a potential 10-year, $1.2B contract through its InuTeq subsidiary to address NASA science and engineering challenges with advanced computing technology. Four months later, it won another five-year contract to deliver program and project management support for the Defense Health Agency’s Connected Health Program.
Gray was named chairman of the 2018 Greater Washington Region Heart Walk – an annual non-competitive event that promotes physical activity through a one- or three-mile walk to help prevent heart diseases. With Gray at the helm, the Heart Walk campaign raised over $2M in funding in November 2018.
“As you are all aware, funds raised will go towards life-saving research and education and will unquestionably make a meaningful impact in our local communities for years to come,†he said.
Prior to joining ASRC Federal, Gray was the vice president and general manager for URS Corporation’s System Engineering and Information Solutions Group. During his five-year tenure, he was responsible for nearly 3,000 employees, as well as the organic growth and operations of DoD and federal civilian programs.
Gray has also served for two years as the chief operating officer for the INDUS Corporation and as the senior vice president for the Anteon Corporation for nine years. He is a graduate with distinction of the U.S. Naval Test Pilot School and the Advanced Program Management Course at the Defense Systems Management College and is a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma Business School Honor Society.
Executive Mosaic congratulates Mark Gray and the ASRC Federal team for receiving this award.
