Optum‘s public sector business has received contracts to manage three regions of the Department of Veterans Affairs‘ network of care service providers.
The company will work to manage parts of the Community Care Network, VA’s new contract vehicle for procurement of community health care services that comply with industry standards, the department said Monday.
“As part of VA’s modernization efforts, we designed the new network based on feedback from veterans and other stakeholders, along with lessons learned from the Veterans Choice Program, said Robert Wilkie, secretary of veterans affairs.
Arizona-based TriWest Healthcare will continue to support the management of VA’s veteran care throughout the country until the new network is fully applied.
